Welcome to the East Neuk of Fife
The Kingdom Fife in Scotland has some of the most picturesque towns
and villages to be found and the East Neuk in particular is steeped
in history. Situated on the east coast, close to St Andrews, there are
a vast variety of attractions and facilities on offer with something
to suit everyone of all ages.
Throughout this site you will find plenty information
of what there is on offer in the East Neuk. The tour of the East Neuk
in the Tourism section gives you an insight to each of the villages
with a little of its history and links to some of the more popular attractions
and sights available.
Very popular as a holiday resort there is an
abundance of holiday accommodations at all levels, quiet secluded spots,
spectacular sea views, family locations etc. The local people are very
friendly and inviting and many of the local events and galas that are
put on throughout the summer are great tourist attractions, especially
the Anstruther Lifeboat Gala and the increasingly popular Pittenweem
fish festival to name only a few.
Although we don't go into detail about St Andrews on this particular site, the town is definitely worth a visit if you're staying in the East Neuk area. It has beautiful beaches, chic boutiques, and some incredible golf courses. The Old Course is world-famous and regarded by many as one of the best golf courses in the world. If you book ahead, you can even play the historic course yourself for a day of top golf.
After having a look to see what
the East Neuk of Fife has to offer, I'm sure it will be on the top of
many peoples days away and holiday lists for the future.
